Run your first AI skill
Use Platform Skills to generate your first reviewed AI output — grounded in your research.
AI in Crux runs through Platform Skills — structured actions that draft output for your review instead of dumping unchecked generations onto your board.
Run a skill from a node
Select a research note, file node, or other canvas element and open the context actions at the bottom of the canvas. Pick a skill — for example Analyse & Tag to propose highlights and tags, or Generate document to draft a brief from connected research.
Type what you want in plain language in the skill prompt, for example:
"Summarise the key pain points from the interview transcripts"
Skills gather context from connected nodes upstream, so link your evidence before you run.
The review-first contract
Every skill follows the same pattern:
- Context — the skill gathers what's connected: upstream nodes, file excerpts, project knowledge.
- Draft — output streams in as a preview.
- Review — you read it, edit it, or discard it.
- Commit — only then does it become part of your canvas.
Nothing overwrites your work without your say-so.
Credits
Each AI operation debits a small number of AI credits from your plan's monthly allowance — you can see the balance in the sidebar. See AI credits.
