Work with VS Code
How Crux connects to VS Code — status, setup, and how it links to Research and Experience.
Part 25 of 27 in the guide Work with your favourite tools
Status: Available
Any VS Code MCP client (GitHub Copilot Chat, Continue, and others) can use the Crux endpoint.
Setup
- Open Settings → External sources → Build → VS Code (or Settings → Setup MCP → VS Code).
- Copy the MCP endpoint / generic
mcpServersJSON into your client’s MCP settings. - Complete Crux sign-in when prompted.
How it fits
Crux keeps Research (evidence) and Experience (pages, features, content) linked. VS Code plugs into that loop — it does not replace the tool you already use for day-to-day work in that product.
Notes
Prefer the www host for production. See also Cursor/Codex tabs for client-specific shapes.
